アガペホーム
1975年～79年カンボジアでは内戦を経験し、クメールルージュによる破壊行為により大きな被害を受けました。このような社会で貧困問題は明らかです。多くの親は子供を養育することが出来ません。
また、貧困は安価な労働を人々に押し付けます。このような痛ましい状況と飢えに苦しむ子供たちを目の当たりにし、私たちの心は憐れみによって動かされ、2005年にアガペホームをスタートしました。
ホームでは子供たちに衣食住を提供し、身心そしてたましいを養うと同時に「天の国はこのような者たちのものである」と子どもたちを招かれるイエス・キリストへの信仰へと導くことを目標としています。
働き：子供キャンプ企画やカンポンチャン村宣教支援のほか、アガペホームの生徒たちは奉仕支援を必要とする教会へ出向き、音楽、ゲーム、工作指導などのボランティア活動をしています。
AGAPE HOME Cambodia has experienced years of wars between 1975 – 1979 that left the country devastated by the reign of Khmer rouge, a communist guerilla movement. Due to such background, poverty is evident. Many parents are not able to care for their children. Besides, poverty compelled many to cheap labour. Seeing the pathetic condition and the hunger of children, we were moved with compassion and started Agape Home in 2005 where we pick a few children to feed them and nourish them both physically and most of all spiritually for that is our ultimate goal as to introduce them to Christ, for theirs is the Kingdom of God.
MINISTRIES • Conduct children camp annually • Minister both adult and children in a church in Kampong Chnaang village • Agape children go to help another ministry in Phnom Penh every weekend in leading worship, games and crafts
シュネムホーム
シャン族の学生数は高校に入ると激減し、大学進学となるとほんの一握りの数になってしまいます。それはシャン族の多くが高校のない農村部に住み、教育の機会が乏しいというのが大きな理由です。また仮に高校進学を決めた場合、町の学校に通うためには家を離れ下宿する必要があり、経済的また精神的犠牲を強いられます。
このような教育の機会が奪われている生徒たちの家族そして村を支援するために、シュネムホームが始まりました。SHUNEMという意味は、「二つの休息の場」という意味があります。シュネムホームは、よりよい将来のために教育の機会を必要としている生徒そして家族の「二つ目の家」となることを目指し、学生寮そして学習支援を無料で提供しています。
The number of students attending school tapers sharply towards High School with very few reaching College. Majority of the Shans are rural with many of their villages without High Schools. To send children to school parents and children inevitably have to choose between home and school. Those who do so make heavy sacrifices and face many hardships.
‘Shunem Homes’ has been conceptualized to help the Shan families and villages keeping the aforementioned situations in mind. Shunem means ‘two resting-places.’ Accordingly Shunem Home will strive to serve as a second home for students and their families as they make the much needed sacrifices in seeking education and better future.
